Technical Challenges in the Automated Quantification of Emissions from Aircraft Propulsion Systems and Their Solution
Main Article Content
Abstract
The paper discusses the issue of automatically accounting for harmful substances (carbon oxides - CO/CO2, unburned hydrocarbons - CnHm, and nitrogen oxides - NOx) emitted from civil aviation aircraft engines and proposes solutions using the methodology recommended by ICAO. It emphasizes the necessity of studying and assessing ecological risks caused by air pollution and environmental contamination near airports. The paper also highlights the requirements of the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) to reduce and compensate for hydrocarbon emissions and addresses the involvement of Georgia's Civil Aviation Agency in this process.
